My original plan was to take a few days off after finishing the translation at the end of August before beginning to edit, but things did not go as I planned. It has been two months and I have yet to start, partly because I have been enjoying working on other things and partly because any day now we will be welcoming a new baby into our lives.

Lately, I have had the itch to start the editing process, but have considered it wise to not begin until a week or so after the baby comes, so as to establish a bit of a routine after having the current one turned upside down by the little one. Waiting like this has also given me concrete motivation to figure out an easy yet effective way to track my progress on the editing of the translation. I have a few ideas, but I think I may just keep track of what number and verse I am on for the given chapter that I am working on. This way I can have a clear denominator so I can track my percentage of completion.

This post is mostly for me to motivate myself to get back into the grind. Hopefully I will be starting back up again by the middle of November or so.
