I had begun editing my translation of Euthymius Zigabenus’ Commentary on the Epistles of Paul sometime after the middle of November, but I was lazy to write a post about it.
My daily quota currently is to edit 10 verses of Paul per day (there are 2322 verses in total); if there are no corrections or edits that need to be made in a given verse, that still counts towards the 10 and makes for an easier day. I had made really rapid progress between the middle of November and the beginning January, getting about 60 days or so ahead of schedule. But then I got really sick with pneumonia, and I fell behind 2.5 weeks. My energy is still not 100%, but I have started editing once again. I am currently on 1 Cor. 8:6 (approximately 32.34% of the editing complete), with a tentative completion date of July 11, 2025. To date, of all the edits and corrections that I have made, about 135 of them need to be relooked at either because the Greek is posing too much of a challenge for me to translate at the present time, or because I need to compare manuscripts to see if the text in Nikiforos Kalogeras‘ edition matches up with what the other manuscripts say (this is also due to the Greek posing a challenge that I cannot solve at the moment).
This post is just to say that I am still working on this project, regardless of my hiatus from posting regularly.
